Galway 🇮🇪
We spent a wonderful day in Galway, following the advice and direction from our AirBNB host. It began with a good parking spot, which is not always easy to find, in the Galway Cathedral Church. From there we walked on the path next to the River Corrib, reading the history of the buildings on the river, enjoying the gardens, and had breakfast at a local restaurant. Yummy!
After walking along the river we made our way to the pier and found some boats that looked like they needed some love and attention. Maybe another blue pile? The walk afforded some great views of iconic Galway.
The best part of our day, the Galway City Museum, was a fun and interactive experience where we learned about the history and culture of the city, including the Galway hooker which is a traditional fishing boat used in Galway Bay.
We ended our day with a beer and sat on the grass next to the church soaking in the sun. Life was good.
